You & I Mindfulness was founded by Jamie Derrick to bring mindfulness meditation and mindfulness resources to the Palouse region in the Pacific Northwest. Jamie Derrick, Ph.D. is the founder and primary mindfulness teacher. She life long meditator, psychologist, and certified mindfulness teacher through UCLA’s Mindful Awareness Research Center. She creates clear, supportive, and welcoming mindfulness instruction.
drop in community meditation
You & I Mindfulness offers a free weekly drop-in mindfulness meditation every Wednesday from noon-12:20 on via Zoom. Each week a fresh topic is explored and taught by Jamie Derrick, UI Mind founder. Jamie creates a warm, welcoming, safe setting for new or experienced meditators. She simplifies instruction, offers practical mediations, and will support your progress and answer questions after each weekly meditation. Come any Wednesday without any registration or ongoing commitment.

UI Mind maintains a Facebook page which offers encouragement and educational resources on mindfulness. They also maintain a YouTube channel that offers weekly guided audio meditations to access at your convenience. Pre-recorded meditations offer flexibility and structure for busy people who want to maintain a regular practice. The YouTube channel also provides suggestions for bringing mindfulness to daily activities like eating, showering, walking, and cleaning and ‘off the cushion’ practices for those times when you just can’t sit still.
U of Idaho Mindfulness Class
What better way to learn and practice mindfulness than in a classroom where you get college credit for your learning experience? Every Spring semester UI Mind offers a 1 credit class ‘Mindfulness and Well-Being’ that teaches meditation and mindful living. Starting spring 2017 the class will have an optional lab that will focus on relational mindfulness practices.
